This short story was OK. It wasn't long enough to get to know the MCs or to really understand their dynamic. I liked the premise of Jason wanting to show Adrian how he was taking him for granted but to do it at his work was inappropriate. This is my first read by this author so I don't know anything more about the couple than what was in the story. From all the BDSM I have read, you should be trained how before you try to punish someone with an instrument. There should also be no alcohol involved (granted Jason had only had one beer, as far as I could tell) and you should never inflict a punishment when you are upset or not in a calm state of mind. I was also a little upset by Adrian's reaction to Jason showing up at his office (that was rude). Jason's gift was cute (and hot). The punishment was a little hot but the sex was just OK. The writing style was fine.****

Very quick Vday story about Jason and Adrian. Jason is starting to feel like he is coming in last in Adrian (his master's) life. so he comes up with a plan that put Adrian in his place. These two men have some good chemistry and the “scene” was hot. If you are looking for a quick steamy read, pick this one up!!
This is a quick story, featuring Adrian and Jason an established D/s couple who we previously saw in "Happy Christmas, Sir". These two know how to warm up the sheets and this Valentine's day Jason gets fed up with feeling like he is second in line o everything else in his Dom's life...so he takes matters into his own hand. I love these quickies! I am a fan of Elizabeth Coldwell and have read a number of her books! I am always happy with what she comes up with and I was very happy with this story as well! Yes it's quick, but the characters are believable, the scene is sizzling, and the story fun! I enjoyed Jason finding he has a dominant voice! I was also loving how Adrian allowed Jason his switch-up and went with the fun of it! All in all, a really fun and flirty read!
